1Software check firstOpen VAIO Control Center u2192 Mouse and Keyboard u2192 reset to defaults. Test in Windows. If still not clicking, hardware issue.
2Open back coverRemove 9 Phillips screws. Pry the cover off with a spudger.
3Disconnect batteryPop the battery connector off. Hold power 30 seconds.
4Remove keyboardOpen the laptop. Pry keyboard up from the top edge. Disconnect ribbon cable. Set aside.
5Locate touchpad assemblyThe touchpad is held by 2 screws + a ribbon cable. Unscrew, disconnect, lift out.
6Inspect click switchesThe left/right click buttons use small dome switches under the touchpad. Inspect for cracks or collapsed domes.
7Repair the dome (cheap fix)Place a small piece of aluminum foil (1 layer, 5mm diameter) under the collapsed dome. Reassemble. Test.⚠ Foil is a temporary fix u2014 buy a proper replacement switch.
8Replace touchpad moduleFor proper fix: buy a replacement VAIO Fit 15 touchpad module (~u20b92,200). Install. Reconnect ribbon.
