Acer Aspire E15 — No Display / Black Screen on Boot

1Test with external monitorPlug in HDMI to a TV/monitor. Power on. If external display shows, the LCD panel or cable is the issue, not the motherboard.
2Hard resetUnplug charger. Hold power 30 seconds. Reconnect, power on. This clears a stuck sleep state.
3Memory reseatOpen back cover. Remove both RAM sticks. Clean contacts with isopropyl. Reseat one stick in slot 0. Power on. If display returns, one stick is dead.
4Test with one RAM stickSwap which stick is installed. If only one works, the other is bad. Replace with matching DDR4 2400MHz SODIMM.
5Check LCD cableIf external monitor works but built-in LCD does not: open the screen bezel. Reseat the LVDS/eDP cable at both ends.⚠ The cable connector is tiny u2014 use a plastic tool to flip the locking tab.
6Test with flashlight on LCDPower on. Shine a flashlight at the LCD from a side angle. If you can faintly see the desktop, the LCD backlight is dead u2014 replace panel or inverter.
7Check BIOS POSTPower on. Count beep codes. 1 long + 2 short = display error. 1 long + 3 short = memory error. 1 long + 4 short = timer error.
8Replace LCD panelIf external display works and cable reseating does not help: replace the panel. Compatible: LP156WF6-SPB3 or similar (~u20b94,500).
